As anyone cleaning up after Hurricane Ian can tell you, it takes a lot of physical and emotional strength to deal with the aftermath of a big trauma. All week long, local Floridians have been stressing their upper bodies with debris removal, and straining their mental reserves as they try to fathom what comes next.
That’s why this week’s class was dedicated to strengthening the upper back, chest, shoulders and arms. We used the soothing tempo of slow Sun Salutations and some SATYA shoulder releases to replenish our frazzled nervous systems.
Best of all, we took the time to both rest and remember why we wanted to be strong. Yoga Libre members can access the practice here.
May all beings everywhere be happy and free. Namaste.
