, began practicing yoga fifteen years ago while on vacation at Kripalu. As a second generation yogini, she now knows it was only a matter of time before her Karmic destiny kicked in. While living in New York City, Nancy studied a wide variety of yoga styles, including Sivananda, Astanga, ISHTA, and more. In her ninth year of yoga studies, she finally decided to take her first 200-hour teacher training program, and is now an affiliated Anusara teacher.
During that year, she experienced yoga's power to heal by applying Anusara's Principles of Alignment to her painful case of carpal tunnel syndrome. Today, she delights in helping her students empower themselves to reverse the effects of chronic postural imbalances through correct alignment and a balanced yoga practice.
She continues her studies across many modalities. Her recent pursuits include recognizing a desperate need for myofascial release via Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) and Yin Yoga. She's completed the YBR Phase 1 training, and is working toward YBR certification. Nancy is also pursuing a master's degree in Holistic Nutrition, attending Hawthorn University in California while living in Sarasota, Florida, thanks to the commuter lane known as the Internet. She can't wait to be able to help people become free from digestive and related health woes.
A writer since an early age, Nancy has a B.A. in Journalism, and worked for many years as a marketing, advertising, and web content professional. One of her current jobs is writing on-hold messages for many retail and service businesses. If you've ever called a hotel or restaurant chain and heard a message beginning Hello and thank you for calling
